About Lori and The Herbchick LLC

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away Lori came to walk an herbalist’s journey.
Well, maybe not that far away…and Lori would prefer to say it wasn’t that long ago. Way back when she was in high school she experienced a health challenge that stumped her family doctor. After her mother and doctor spoke, it was decided that she would go to a local consultant who specialized in various remedies and holistic methods of analysis. Much to Lori’s surprise, the herbs suggested worked. This ignited an interest in herbalism and everything holistic health. She threw herself into the study of these remedies and techniques while also earning an Associate of Science from Edison State Community College (Piqua, Ohio) and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University’s College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in biology and psychology.
Lori officially started seeing clients in 1995 (I know, that’s a long, darn time ago)! What started as a consultation practice and the sale of pre-packaged supplements has blossomed into the addition of growing her own herbs and teaching people how to use actual plants (as opposed to just encapsulated products). Lori still offers supplement products for those who are interested. Let’s face it – sometimes it is just easier to pop a capsule when you are a busy person. However, the focus is on the incorporation of herbs and plants in the daily grind.
Lori rebranded as The Herbchick LLC in 2014, inspired by a nickname given to her by friends. It seems her willingness to share her knowledge with anyone who would listen earned her the title of “herbchick.”
Lori calls West Central Ohio home, where she resides with two of her sons, who are still at home. Her two adult sons live nearby.
